I keep thinking I'll get over it..but even after a full week I haven't. This stuff is going back..and I will never shop here again.
Jo-Ann's Fabric and Crafts is expensive. But I had a coupon so I use that and I ended up saving $60 so that was pretty good. I wanted to buy some things to make jewelry. They didn't have all of the supplies. And then I wanted to get some glue for my husband for models. They don't even carry models. They carry hardly any crafts. Except for jewelry and your usual Fabric and yarn. So I was disappointed with all of that. The place is very nice clean. The people who work there or more than willing to help you very nice no issues. So I will only be going back there for things for jewelry. But there's no guarantee they're going to have it. So at the end of my visit it was okay but there are a couple things I'm going to have to order online. Have fun people.

I was delighted to see that there was a Joann Fabrics on Hooper Ave and close to my new job. On my first visit, I scoped out the store, found a few things and headed up front to pay. My cashier, an older woman, could not have been ruder. She seemed distracted and mumbled her commands at me under her breath. I said I was sorry... I was hearing impaired and could not hear her... could she speak a bit louder. No change in her demeanor as she continued the sale. I decided to let it go. Everyone has their bad days. The following week I returned to exchange a wrong item they said would fit and return another item that didn't work. I found myself scanning the line of cashiers, hoping last week's encounter wasn't there. This time, my cashier was another older woman with more of the same attitude, who examined my returned sewing box like I was trying to hide something. No pleasantries. When I asked her about an exchange of the other item I had, she directed me to Maryann in the sewing dept. I found Maryann, hoping she would help me find the right product. Nope, instead she quickly directed me to the area to find it on my own, and then continued her personal conversation with her friend without skipping a beat. Without input, I decided to just return that item as well and vowed to never shop here again.
I have been a Joann's shopper since the 80's...I have also been in customer service in a large department store and homebuilder...I know good customer service.
This particular store has an employee that is the rudest woman I believe I have ever met! I spent $75 at that time and the stuff is still sitting in the bag.
First time here since it moved to this location. I have to say I was impressed. I will be shopping for my craft needs here.
I contacted Customer Service & received a inquiry number and even though it says in bkack & white I will hear from them in 24 to 48 hours, still no response. I can only conclude that NO ONE AT JOANN'S CARES ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
