Within a few days, some registrants already received confirmations in the mail, but my confirmation took more than a month to go through. I'm sure this is a case-by-case thing. Maybe it's departmentalized by town, since I live in another area of Ocean County and I received mine so much later than everyone else.
I dropped off a pack of voter registrations here. The office is in the basement, the people there seem nice. They supplied me with a hundred or so registration forms, though they were admittedly outdated.
