I waited until closing to post this nonsense after making a new appt for Saturday at the Ocean Township location.
Earlier this week, I tried to make an online dog grooming appointment (7:30am) for Toms River Pet Smart, but wound up calling directly to go over length of stay. I was assured there was no problem, and received verbal and txt confirmations yesterday. Today, I got a voice msg from Pet Smart saying there was a mistake in the scheduling and for me to reschedule.
Do not, do not, DO NOT BUY betta fish here. I bought a female veil tail and I have only had her 3 weeks, and she is already dying from a parasite called Velvet. I've already spent about 30$+ trying to save her but her skin is peeling now and shes not going to make it. It's not just this pet smart, it's the one in brick too. I had a fish die in 4 months from swim bladder disease, from being severely underfed his digestive system messed up. These stores are full of idiots who don't care about the fish and they don't take care of them. So if you would like a decorative fish that's only going to live for not even a month, buy some fish from pet smart.
I called grooming salon back and was given the following explanations: not good for dogs to be confined for more than 8 hours so they decided to honor the appointment of another customer; there was a scheduling conflict from the online portal; and the next appointment began at 11:30am and wouldn't be done until 430 or 5pm.
this pet smart lacks selection, you better off ordering pet supplies from Chewy, I also made an appt for my puppy for grooming and they just canceled it without notifying me. that is just unprofessional
Although they don't carry one of the brands that are part of my pet's diet.

Pet grooming review
The representative informed me that the 1130 groomer would be contacted and they would call me back to let me know if my dog could be groomed in less than 4 hours.
I explained that I picked the location because of its proximity to work and the early appt time. I also reminded the salon representative of the confirmations from their establishment and that next Friday was not possible because I eas mot working the day after Thanksgiving.
They groomers are nice but they don't do a good job. They changed my appointment time without notifying me, they took over 6 hours to finish my dog and their excuse was that they had a lot of walk-ins. I schedule and appointment my dog should that priority over walk-ins. Also after they bath them they let the dogs sit in a cage to dry unless you pay for an express grooming. And unless you pay for express grooming, you get your dog back that still smells like wet dog. I'm done with this place.
