Park is only open during day light. Great little nature walk and small park for kids. Woods wetlands marshes and the bay cattus has a little bit of all
Great for walking and biking with the family. The playground is nice, and I'm unsure if it's still open but they used to have a small exhibit inside to look at for free.
Not a bad place for walking or a bike ride nice views of marsh lands and bay other then that I can't see spending the entire day 1/2 hour to hour is all you need
This place is beautiful. I brought my dog here and we walked the Sandy trails for an hour and a half. When we got back to the car we found HUNDREDS of ticks on him. We didn't walk into any tall grass, just on the Sandy trails. He had to of stepped in a nest of some sort. While it's not the parks fault, it ruined my experience here.
Beautiful place/scenery but we had a bad experience. Packed in dinner for a beach picnic. Easy short hike (maybe 1 to 1.5 miles) passing wildlife filled salt marshes and wooded areas. Despite finding a beautiful bay beach we were feverishly shooed out of the water by a uniformed security guard. Nowhere on the island are you allowed in the water. Signs say no swimming but we were in literally 3 inches of water. Guard says you can't even dip a bare foot in. It quickly became a waste of a beach and a waste of a trip. He then watched us the rest of our stay until he started flying up and down the gravel roads in his pickup clearing the park for closing, kicking up dust and stones the whole time. Go for a walk not a long stay.
